Law Minister Gautam to amend laws for faster justice for sexual assault victims

KATHMANDU, March 27: Law Minister Sobita Gautam has decided to amend existing laws to ensure speedy justice for victims of sexual and rape-related crimes.



Assuming her office at Singha Durbar, Minister Gautam stated that legal reforms will focus on the Muluki Criminal Procedure Code 2074, the Criminal Offense and Punishment Determination and Implementation Act 2074, the Muluki Civil Code 2074, and other laws related to women and children. The amendments aim to identify necessary improvements to ensure quicker access to justice for victims.
