KATHMANDU, Oct 29:The Kathmandu Valley is about to resonate with some world-class jazz music as the curtains raise to yet another episode of jazz fiesta.

The wait is almost over: The Surya Nepal Jazzmandu kicks off from today, Friday, October 29.[break]

The six-day event is all geared up to provide you with jazz music from around the globe.

This year’s Jazz fest opens up with a strong Asian touch in its Valley Jams, featuring a firework of quality jazz performances at three different locations.

Jazz Upstairs at Lazimpat will play host to Simak Dialog from Indonesia, and Alukomarai, the latter having musicians from England, Thailand, Japan, Norway, and Germany.

Bustling with energy, Thamel is simultaneously hosting the other half of the Valley Jams with the Saksri Pang Vongdharadon Quintet, also from Thailand, at the House of Music.

Moksh of Pulchowk will be welcoming the Adrian D’Souza Quartet from India. The band is a collective of top jazz artists and session musicians in Mumbai who produce an eclectic sound resulting from a delightful mix of jazz, funk, and world music.
