The couple of Sagar Pariyar, 20, a boy from the so-called Dalit caste and Sangita Thapa Chhetri, 20, was expelled from the village on August 31.
The couple came to the District Administration Office on December 15 seeking justice.
Pariyar said they had been getting threats from their families after coming to know that they were in love with each other. He said they married on their own at Pachali Bhairab because their families would not approve of their love.
He said they have not been able to go back home since then and have been living in a rented room at Bhotebahal in Kathmandu.
The couple has requested the district administration to facilitate their return home and ensure their security.
