According to a press release issued by the Indian embassy in Kathmandu on Friday, Khurshid will be holding meetings with President Dr Ram Baran Yadav, Chairman of Interim Election Council Khil Raj Regmi and his counterpart Madhav Prasad Ghimire during his visit. [break]

Sources have said he will also hold a series of meetings with UCPN-Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Nepali Congress President Sushil Koirala, CPN-UML Chairman Jhalanath Khanal and a few Madhesi leaders. Minister Khursid is arriving here upon the invitation of his Nepali counterpart Ghimire.
"The two foreign ministers will exchange views on further development of bilateral relations and other issues of mutual interest," the statement said. He will fly back home the next day. This will be his first visit to Nepal as External Affairs Minister.
