Indian State Minister arriving in Nepal to meet victims of Indian tourist bus accident

KATHMANDU, Aug 24: Indian Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports, Raksha Khadse, is arriving in Kathmandu to meet the injured Indian nationals and collect the bodies of those killed in the Anbu Khaireni bus accident.

KATHMANDU, Aug 24: Indian Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports, Raksha Khadse, is arriving in Kathmandu to meet the injured Indian nationals and collect the bodies of those killed in the Anbu Khaireni bus accident.


As many as 27 people were killed, and 16 others were injured when a tourist bus carrying Indian nationals plunged into the Marsyangdi River near Aaina Pahara in Anbu Khaireni, Tanahun.

The bodies of the deceased are being examined at Bharatpur Hospital in Chitwan, and the test results are expected to be submitted to the concerned parties by 12 noon today.


Sixteen injured individuals were airlifted to Kathmandu on Friday for further treatment and are currently undergoing treatment at Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital in Kathmandu.


It has been reported that all the injured and deceased on board the bus were from the Jalgaon district of Maharashtra state in India.
