Indian Envoy Puri pays courtesy call to Oli

KATHMANDU, March 27: Indian Ambassador to Nepal Manjeev Singh Puri has paid a courtesy call to CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli, who is also the UML Parliamentary Party leader, at the UML Parliamentary Party Office in Singha Durbar on Monday.

“The meeting between Chairman Oli and newly appointed Indian envoy Puri was limited to a courtesy call. Crucial political issues were not raised in the meeting,” UML Chief Whip  Bhanu Bhakta Dhakal told Republica Online. 

Newly appointed envoy Puri who arrived in Kathmandu on last Saturday presented his credentials to President Bidhya Devi Bhandari yesterday. 

Puri has started holding political meetings after he presented his credintials to President Bhandari.

The meeting is underway.
