The office prohibited to trade of Banggal Super, Satabdi Himal, Primium and Himko Cement brands issuing a notice. [break]
Samples of the cement with these different brands were collected and sent for the test to Department of Nepal Standards and Metrology after locals’ complaint considering the quality less cement brands.
The office reported the cement brands were below standard that the import of these brands was banned, said monitoring officer, Krishna Prasad Bhandari. He said if these brands were imported in the illegal way they will be punished as per consumers’ rights protection act.
