A team of police deployed by the District Police Office (DPO), Kaski had confiscated the arms as the owners did not have licenses. The government has given March 28 deadline for the public for submit any illegal weapons in their posession and has said those not submitting such arms will face legal action under the Arms and Ammunition Act-1963.
With the arrival of SP Kedar Rijal as the chief of the district police office in Kaski, police have intensified action against hooliganism and search for illegal arms in the district.
Meanwhile, police also rounded up 25 gamblers from four different places in the district on Sunday. Police said they also recovered Rs 93,390 from the gambling spots.
