Bhandari, however, said that the Maoists would have to make their stance clear on the peace process.

Speaking at the same function, Minister for Physical Planning and Works and Maoist leader Top Bahadur Rayamajhi said that the ongoing standing committee and upcoming central committee meeting of his party would endorse Bhattarai as the prime ministerial candidate unanimously.

He also claimed that party chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal would himself propose Bhattarai as the prime ministerial candidate from the party.
