KATHMANDU, April 2: In today’s session of the House of Representatives (HoR), UML lawmaker Guru Baral called for the immediate release of party chairman KP Sharma Oli and Nepali Congress leader Ramesh Lekhak.
Speaking in parliament, Baral emphasized that the government must operate according to the constitution. He questioned why peaceful demonstrations protesting the arrest of party leaders were met with force, noting that even lawmakers present in parliament were injured.

Baral further demanded that the government form a committee to investigate the baton-charge on the peaceful protest.
