Issuing a press statement Sunday, HAN said its president Prasidha B. Pandey and other office-bearers met Malaysia´s Minister for Tourism Dato Sri Ng Yen Yen at Kualampur and solicited the support of the Malaysian government for the campaign.[break]
HAN also signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Malaysia Nepal Business Council (MNBC) and Malaysian Association of Hotels (MAH) for bilateral tourism promotion.
“The Malaysian Tourism Minister assured us every possible support for the NTY 2011 campaign. The meeting also focused on the soon to be started flights on Kuala Lumpur-Kathmandu route by Malaysian Airlines and Air Asia,” the statement added.
HAN also organized ´Nepal Night´ to highlight Nepal´s tourism attractions among Malaysian travel agents, tour operators and media. HAN also had business to business meeting with leading travel and tour operators of Malaysia.
