KATHMANDU, April 26: A team led by Labor, Employment and Social Security Minister Krishna Kumar Shrestha is going to Malaysia on Wednesday. According to the ministry, the minister is going there on a four-day visit to Malaysia at the invitation of Malaysia's Human Resources Minister Sarvanan Murugan.
Minister for Labor Shrestha met Acting Ambassador of Malaysia, Mohammad Fazal at the ministry. During the meeting, issues of mutual interest as well as cooperation were discussed between them. Minister Shrestha expressed his confidence that the visit would help in the friendship and mutual cooperation between the two countries. Acting Ambassador of Malaysia Fazal also discussed his visit to Malaysia and its agenda.

Minister Shrestha will be accompanied by Secretary Eknarayan Aryal, Joint Secretary Rajiv Pokhrel, Under Secretary Dr Thaneshwar Bhusal and other officials during the visit.
During the visit, the agenda of the meeting of Nepal-Malaysia Joint Committee to be held in Nepal will be decided. The Nepali delegation will discuss the effective implementation of the provisions of the labor agreement between the two countries. The ministry has stated that all expenses incurred in the selection process of Nepali workers going to Malaysia for foreign employment will be borne by the employer. During the visit, discussions are also scheduled with the Nepali community in Malaysia.
