Gurung Film Association has organised the Mahotsav with a view to developing and promoting films based on Gurung culture. [break]
Around 60 cine artists associated with the association have arrived in Lamjung from Pokhara, Butwal, Kathmandu and other places of the country.
According to association´s secretary Pritam Gurung, different organisations, women groups and ethnic communities have supported to make the festival successful.
Five Gurung films---Ashimala, Asyo, Akrodo, Mhichhyav, Rodhighar and Kheva Dhin---will be shown during the festival.
