Govt holds stock of over 98,000 metric tons of chemical fertilizers

KATHMANDU, Dec 18: The government currently has a stockpile of over 98,000 metric tons of chemical fertilizers. 

The Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development has assured that Nepal has a stock of 98,433 metric tons of chemical fertilizers, as of mid-December (Mangsir end).

Of this stock of chemical fertilizers, the government has a stock of 68,797 metric tons of urea, 23,439 metric tons of diammonium phosphate (DAP)  and 6,196 metric tons of potash. 

The state-owned Agricultural Inputs Company Limited and the Salt Trading Corporation Limited have been assigned to import chemical fertilizers to Nepal.
