Babita Gharti, 6, daughter of Kamal Gharti of Kapurkot bazaar was killed when a jeep,Bhe 1 Cha 1404, heading toward Tulsipur, Dang from Kapurkot, Salyan knocked her down at Kapurkot bazaar. [break]
The child was knocked down while she was crossing the road and died on the way to Tulsipur hospital.
Police have impounded the vehicle and arrested the driver, said Kapurkot police.
Meanwhile, closure of bazaar and transport has been called and vehicles are stranded on the road.
