Rai made such remark during his visit to Panchthar district as part of his party’s election campaign.[break]
Saying that majority of the people are in favor of the identity-based federalism advocated by his party, Rai added that his party would emerge as the largest party in the country based on the votes of first-past-the-post and proportional representation systems.
On the occasion, he ruled out any possibility of delineation of the provinces in the country based on multiple identities.
On Thursday, he addressed an election campaign held at Jorpokhari. He is also addressing a mass meeting being held at Yasok today.
Meanwhile, FSP Chairman Rai has allegedly violated the election code of conduct by using the government facilities during his trip to the district for the election campaign.
Rai, who arrived here in the district to take part in his party’s election campaigns, has been residing at a guest house belonging to the Panchthar District Development Committee. The election code of conduct has clearly prohibited the use of government facilities during the election campaigns.
On Wednesday and Thursday nights, Rai had resided at the guest house. He has also booked the guest house for Saturday after he returns from Taplejung district.
