KATHMANDU, Nov 23: Former Chief Justice Kedar Prasad Giri passed away on Friday afternoon.
Giri breathed his last while undergoing treatment at Norvic Hospital in Thapathali where he had been taken after suffering from pneumonia, according to family sources. Giri served as the chief justice of the country from November 4, 2007 to May 7, 2009.
Giri’s final rites will be performed at Pashupati Aryaghat on Friday evening.
