Foreign Secy Thapa assumes office

KATHMANDU: Newly appointed Foreign Secretary Arjun Bahadur Thapa assumed office on Monday amidst a function held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA).



Outgoing Foreign Secretary Durga Prasad Bhattarai and other senior officials at MoFA had welcomed him and wished him all the success. [break]



Thapa, who served as joint secretary for the past 14 years was promoted as secretary on Sunday. Thapa will be in office for six months until he retires on January 13 next year.
