FM Khanal to visit China on June 14

Minister Khanal will hold bilateral talks with his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi during the visit, focusing on strengthening Nepal–China relations and expanding areas of cooperation.

KATHMANDU, June 12: Foreign Minister Shisir Khanal is set to embark on a four-day official visit to China on June 14, at the invitation of Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi.



According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Minister Khanal will hold bilateral talks with his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi during the visit, focusing on strengthening Nepal–China relations and expanding areas of cooperation. He is also scheduled to meet other senior Chinese officials.

The visit will also place strong emphasis on economic diplomacy, with Minister Khanal participating in an investment conference organised by the Nepali Embassy in Beijing aimed at attracting foreign investment into Nepal. He will also hold discussions with Chinese entrepreneurs and business leaders.


The Nepali Embassy in Beijing will host a welcome reception in his honour, along with an interaction programme with the Nepali community in China.


Minister Khanal is scheduled to return home on June 17.
