The match, which was being played at Stormont, Belfast, in Ireland, was cancelled following incessant rain soon after Nepal started chasing 126 runs target presented by Oman under D/L method. Nepal scored six runs from three balls when the umpires called off the match.
Opener Subash Khakurel scored five runs facing two balls while Sagar Pun faced only one ball without scoring single run. Oman's Munis Ansari hauled three balls.Nepal got 126 run target in 16 overs on Duckworth-Lewis method as rain forced end of Oman's inning on 16.3 overs with 115 runs for the loss of four wicket.
Zeeshan Maosood (44 runs from 31 balls), Vaibhav Wategaonkar (23 runs off 17 balls) and Khawar Ali (22 off 24) helped Oman to put the total against Nepal.
Zeeshan, who smashed three sixes and four boundaries, shared 59 runs stand for the first wicket with Khawar, who also hit a six and three fours.
Shakti Gauchan, Jitendra Mukhiya, Sagar Pun and Gyanendra Malla claimed one wicket each for Nepal.
Meanwhile, Papua New Guinea beat Kenya by 10 runs, Scotland defeated Namibia by six wickets, and Hong Kong beat the Netherlands by nine runs in other warm-up matches on Monday.
Nepal to play UAE in second warm-up on Tuesday
Nepal will take on the United Arab Emirates in its second warm-up match of the Qualifier. Since both the teams have T20I status, the match will also be counted as T20I.
The match between Nepal and the UAE will be played at Stormont, Belfast, in Ireland at 14.45 NST.
After the warm-up matches, Nepal will play its first match of the Group A against USA on July 10.
The Group A comprises co-host Ireland, Nepal, Hong Kong, Papua New Guinea, Namibia, USA and Jersey, while Group B consists of co-host Scotland, Afghanistan, the UAE, the Netherlands, Canada, Kenya and Oman.
Nepal will play its second match of the group stage against Namibia on July 11. Nepal is scheduled to face co-host Ireland on July 13, Hong Kong on July 15, Papua New Guinea on July 17 and play last match of the Group A on July 18 against Jersey.
The top six teams will qualify for finals of ICC World Twenty20 scheduled to be held in India from March 11 to April 3 next year.
