MUGU, Feb 27: A fire broke out at a hotel near Rara Lake last night, destroying four wooden buildings. The blaze, which started in the hotel’s kitchen, quickly spread to nearby structures after a gas cylinder exploded, according to the District Police Office.
Nepal Army, Nepal Police, and the Armed Police Force, along with hotel staff, worked together to extinguish the fire by this morning. A 15-member police team led by Sub-Inspector Deepak KC responded swiftly, arriving from the district headquarters in Gamgadhi.
All guests were safely evacuated and relocated to nearby hotels, army barracks, and national park offices. Authorities are investigating the incident, and further details are awaited.
