FIEUN demands insurance companies to ensure employment of employees before merger

KATHMANDU, August 6: The Financial Institute Employees Union (FIEUN) has demanded proper management of the employees working before merging the insurance company.

FIEUN President Padma Raj Regmi and General Secretary Hari Raj Kharel in a joint statement issued on Friday demanded that the regular activities of the organization should not be blocked under the pretext of merger. The FIEUN has also requested the insurance committee to regularize the process of filling up the vacant posts. It has also submitted a letter of attention to the chairman of the concerned committee on Friday


The employees body has also drawn attention to the regular character development and collective bargaining of employees specified by the Labor Act and Trade Union Act. The union has also strongly demanded to fix the time period of merger and acquisition of insurance companies.
