KUALA LUMPUR, April 5: At a time when Nepali migrant workers are returning home as a part of a campaign of the Malaysian government to send back illegal workers, foreign employment entrepreneurs have expressed objection toward allowing workers with visa deadline return easily.

Following the drive of the Malaysian government, the Nepali Embassy is sending Nepalis back home.

Organizing a press meet at Kuala Lumpur, Nepal-Malaysia Foreign Employment Coordination Organization made its view public on the issue.

The organization has condemned the act of Nepali Embassy allowing workers whose visa is yet to expire, return to home country.

At the press meet, member of the organization Cholakanta Pangeni claimed that if Nepali workers with visa return home, there will be no workers left in Malaysian companies and it will impact relationship between Nepal and Malaysia in the long run.

Nepali Embassy has made it clear that it can’t address the demand of the organization. Nepali Ambassador Niranjan Man Singh Basnyat said that any Nepali can return home completing process.

“If Nepalis knock at our door requesting the embassy’s help for going back, we can’t stop them. It’s our responsibilities to help the needy,” envoy Basnyat said.
