KATHMANDU, March 23: Economist Keshav Acharya has passed away at the age of 72, family sources confirmed.
Acharya died at 9:55 AM on Monday while undergoing treatment at Annapurna Neuro Hospital after suffering a brain stroke. He had been admitted to the hospital following a sudden health complication.

His last rites are scheduled to be performed on Tuesday.
Acharya previously served as an Executive Director at Nepal Rastra Bank and was actively engaged in policy discussions and advocacy on financial governance and broader economic reforms in recent years.
He is survived by his wife, a son, and a daughter.
