MAHOTTARI, Nov 16: Around a dozen cadres of the Nepali Congress (NC) and Terai Madhesh Democratic Party (TMDP) were injured in a clash between the two parties at Sonaula VDC of Mahottari district Monday night.
Bijaya Kumar Yadav, who sustained critical injuries in the clash, has been admitted at Janakpur Zonal Hospital.
The clash ensued after Congress cadres destroyed a gate constructed to welcome TMLP Chairman Mahantha Thakur tomorrow.
According to District Police Office, cadres of both parties were injured in the clash. Now, the condition has become normal here, said Superintendent of Police (SP) Sanjaya Raj Sharma.
