KATHMANDU, Nov. 2: The National Federation of the Disabled Nepal is going to monitor disabled-friendly polling centers in different 17 districts during the upcoming CA elections.

The federation is going to monitor whether the disable-friendly polling centers are convenient or not for disabled people during the voting hours. [break]

It was possible after the Election Commission set up the disabled-friendly polling centers in some places across the country, said Tika Dahal, General Secretary of the federation.

The disabled people themselves are going to monitor the polling centers in all the five Development Regions, Dahal added.

Likewise, the federation has urged the Commission to manage the brail ballots for visually impaired and sign language interpreter for hearing impaired people to use their rights in voting.

However, the commission has said that vehicles could be arranged for disabled people to reach them to polling centers from their homes and an assistant could be managed for visually impaired during the voting hour.
