The dacoits attacked at 11:00 pm last night at the house of Isa Ansari in the settlement at Madhawa of Bathnaha -6 near the Indian border, the Police Post Bathnaha said.[break]
The dacoits numbering 15- 20 had come from Indian Territory and looted while beating the family members of Ansari, said a local journalist Sudip Jha.
They looted goods worth Rs. 300,000 including cash Rs. 50,000, gold, silver, mobiles, watch and clothes and other goods, said locals.
The dacoits looted for an hour and ran away after there was noise from the nearby Musahar settlement.
