DOLAKHA, Sept 26: Cows that were brought to Dolakha from Narayanhiti after the abolition of monarchy are soon to be auctioned off. The cows were brought to the Livestock Development Firm in Jiri after the former royals exited Narayanhiti palace.

The firm has put out an auction notice after many of the cows stopped giving milk and a few died. [break]

The cows will be auctioned off on Friday.

Thirty-four cows that were earlier domesticated inside Narayanhiti Livestock Development Firm were sent to Jiri by the Livestock Service Directorate on June 18. Of the 34 cows, 11 died within the first two weeks after being brought to Jiri.
