737 new cases in the past 24 hours
KATHMANDU, Sept 16: Kathmandu Valley’s COVID-19 tally reached 13,661 with 737 new cases recorded in the past 24 hours.
According to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), 652 new cases were recorded in Kathmandu, 25 in Bhaktapur and 60 others in Lalitpur on Wednesday. This is the highest single day spike of COVID-19 cases in Valley.
The Valley recorded more than 500 cases of COVID-19 in the past three days in a row. The numbers of new cases were 676 on Tuesday, 512 on Monday and 597 on Sunday.
Both Kathmandu and Bhaktapur are among districts that have witnessed the highest number of COVID-19 cases in Nepal.
COVID-19 death toll in Kathmandu Valley has reached 90 as two more COVID-19 related death cases were recorded in the past 24 hours.
