The championship is the largest local professional event of the Nepal Professional Golfers Association (Nepal PGA) as it has a total prize purse of Rs 500,000.[break]
Altogether 28 professionals will take part in the main event. All top Nepali pros, including Shiva Ram Shrestha, Rabi Khadka, Dhana Thapa, Deepak Thapa Magar and Sabin Sapkota, will be in action in the event along with other local professionals. Toran Shahi, who has been performing well in the PGTI, is also in Kathmandu for this prestigious event.
The winner will receive Rs 110,000 while runner up and third place will bag Rs 72,000 and Rs 54,000 respectively. Top twenty professionals will earn prize money in the tournament.
According to Nepal PGA, twenty-one amateurs will join the professionals in the tournament. Nepal No 1 amateur Tashi Tshiring along with seven players from Surya Nepal NGA Youth Program and other amateurs will vie for the amateur trophy.
