China to assist Lumbini development

BHAIRAHAWA : Minister for Foreign Affairs Madhav Prasad Ghimire has said that government is serious about the development of Lumbini.



Speaking at an interaction organized by Nepal-China Friendship Society in Lumbini on Friday, Ghimire said, “Lumbini should be developed as an international tourism destination,” added Ghimire. [break]



Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Wu Chintai has said that his country is ready to assist Nepal in the development of Lumbini, the birth place of Gautam Buddha. “We are all prepared for the development of Lumbini,” he said.
