CPN (UML) Chairman Jhala Nath Khanal will contest the poll from constituency number 1. Sadbhavana Party Chairman Rajendra Mahato and Tarai Madhesh Sadbhavana Party Chairman Mahendra Prasad Yadav will contest from constituency number 4. Both Mahato and Yadav were elected from the district in the last CA election. [break]
Tarai Madhesh Democratic Party (TMDP) Chairman Mahanth Thakur will contest the poll from constituency number 6.
Though Thakur, Mahato and Yadav used to contest the polls from Sarlahi, it is the first time Khanal is joining the fray in the district.
