Bomb blasts in Dhangadi

DHANGADI, Sept 28: A pressure cooker bomb went off at Siddhanath Kastha Udhyog in Chatakpur of Dhangadi-3 early Wednesday morning while another bomb was found around 200 meters away later in the morning.



The two-kilogram pressure cooker bomb kept under a truck (Na 3 Kha 9090) exploded in the furniture factory owned by Bhim Bahadur Saud at around five in the morning, according to the Superintendent of Police (SP) Basanta Panta.



The explosion did not cause severe damages and only smashed the windscreen of a bus parked nearby, according to SP Panta.



The locals, who rushed out after the explosion, were not able to see anyone who could be linked to the incident.



Similarly, another bomb was found at DK Oil store, located around 200 meters from the place where the first bomb had exploded in the morning within hours of the first explosion.



Nepal Army´s bomb disposal unit disposed the second pressure cooker bomb at around nine in the morning.



The Tarai Janatantrik Madhes Mukti has taken responsibility for the incident. Police said investigation into the incident is on.
