The championship will feature competition in six weight categories: 55 kg, 60 kg, 65 kg, 70 kg, 75 kg and 75+ kg, the organizers said at a press meet in the capital on Monday.
No more than two players will be entertained from a club or institution in each weight category. The pre-judging round will be held on the first day and six players from each round will qualify for the final round, which will be held on the second day.
The winner of each weight category will vie for the title. The top five players will bag cash prizes of Rs 50,000, Rs 40,000 Rs 30,000, Rs 20,000 and Rs 10,000, respectively.
Meanwhile, bodybuilders Dayaram Diwakar and Gyan Narayan Maharjan will represent Nepal in the Asian Games (bodybuilding) to be held from 11-17 August in Pattaya, Thailand. Diwakar will contest in 55 kg category and Maharjan will contest in 60 kg category.
