Nepali bodybuilding team off to Bhutan

KATHMANDU, Sept 1: Nepali bodybuilding team, which includes six players, is leaving for Thimpu, Bhutan on Friday to take part in the 50th Asian Bodybuilding Championship to be held from September 2 to 8.

KATHMANDU, Sept 1: Nepali bodybuilding team, which includes six players, is leaving for Thimpu, Bhutan on Friday to take part in the 50th Asian Bodybuilding Championship to be held from September 2 to 8. 



Bodybuilder Suresh Gurung will compete in 55 kg, Ram Bahadur Dahal in 65 kg and Mahesh Maharjan in the 70 kg category. Similarly, Bimal Lal Shrestha and Bijay Ratna Bajracharya will take part in the men's event of the sports physique while the only women representative Nirmala Khadka in the team will vie in different events of women's section.

 Nepal Bodybuilding and Fitness Association's Vice President Bijay Lal Kayastha will accompany the team as captain while Gyanendra Nakarmi as the head coach. 




National Sports Council's Member Secretary Keshab Kumar Bista and Nepal Bodybuilding and Fitness Association's President Raj Babu Shrestha bid farewell to the players on Thursday.
