A press statement issued by the bank on Thursday stated that when customers open a savings account at any of the eight Laxmi Bank branches in Kathmandu, they can hand in an application for the card. The card can be used at both the Bhat-Bhateni stores, at Maharajgunj and Bhat Bhateni. The card is designed to offer shoppers loyalty points that can be exchanged for goods and services at the stores.
"Creating a co-branded card in partnership with Bhat-Bhateni is in line with our continuous efforts to create a bigger and better experience for Laxmi Bank customers," Suman Joshi, Chief Executive Officer of the bank, was quoted as saying in the press release.
