KATHMANDU, April 8: Bhat-Bhateni Supermarket provided financial assistance to the families of two individuals killed in the violence that followed a pro-monarchy protest held on March 28 in Tinkune area in the capital.
Minbahadur Gurung, Chairman of Bhat-Bhateni, met with the families of the deceased and personally handed over checks on Tuesday morning. The victims– both young individuals from Kathmandu– lost their lives during the Tinkune violence. Gurung gave a check for Rs 500,000 to Sushil Rajak, the wife of Avenue TV journalist Suresh Rajak, at their home in Tahachal.

During the check handover, Gurung mentioned that the violent group involved in the March 28 protest had also caused damage to their store. He expressed his support for the grieving families during this difficult time.
Gurung also visited the residence of Sabin Maharjan in Kirtipur and handed over a check for Rs 300,000 to Sabin's wife, Bhabisa Maharjan. At the Maharjan family's request, Gurung assured them that he would arrange a job for Bhabisa at Bhat-Bhateni Superstore.
