Produced by Jiya KC and Bhabishya Khadka under the banner of Sunrise Pictures Pvt. Ltd., Batulo Jun weaves a rural love story that blends nostalgia with the present. “Audiences will feel transported to the Nepali society of 30 years ago while still sensing today’s reality,” said producer KC, noting that the film is dedicated to anyone who has experienced love.
Anmol appears in a markedly different avatar in the film, which is directed by his father, veteran actor Bhuwan KC, who also plays a lead role.
The film features a large ensemble cast, including Princy Khatiwada, Nancy Khadka, Prakash Ghimire, Rear Rai, Dipak KC, Shweta Mishra, Laxmi Giri, Sharada Giri, Laxminath Timilsina, Shishir Shiwakoti, Arpana Ghatani, Bibika Poudel, and Kamal Devkota.
Shot across Kathmandu, Myagdi, Nuwakot, Chitlang, and Pokhara, the film is currently in its final phase of production. Executive producer Tej Bikram KC said around 10 percent of filming remains, with the next schedule planned in Pokhara around the Nepali New Year 2083.
