National Integrity and Ethnic Goodwill Joint Struggle Committee has demonstrated not to federalize the country based on ethnicity. A rally reached New Baneshwor through different parts of the city.
Coordinator of the Committee Dil Bahadur Chhetri said that agitations were needed as the Marxist leaders were conspiring to split the country by delineating the states based on ethnicity.
Meanwhile, general secretary of Nepal Federation of Indigenous Nationalities Angkaji Sherpa said the government must implement the 9-point deal signed with the indigenous groups during the three-day general strike. Shrepa was of the opinion that state restructuring without ethnic identity was not acceptable to them.
