KATHMANDU, Feb 8: The high-level committee formed to investigate the nine-kg gold smuggling case through vape (electronic cigarettes) has recorded statements of former Speaker of House of Representatives (HoR) Krishna Bahadur Mahara, who is also Vice Chairman of CPN (Maoist Center).
The probe committee took Mahara's statement at Singh Durbar on Thursday afternoon.
The government had earlier formed a four-member probe committee headed by former High Court Judge Dilliram Acharya to investigate the issue of illegal gold smuggling from Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA).
