15 Injured in Butwal jeep accident

BUTWAL, Oct 9: A jeep accident on the Butwal-Gulmi route has left 15 individuals injured, with one in critical condition. The incident occurred on Wednesday when the jeep, bearing the number Lu 1 Ja 2088, was en route to Shantipur and met with an accident at Satyavati Village 1 in Kudali around 2:30 PM.  

According to Assistant Sub-Inspector Krishna Sunar at the Highway Safety and Traffic Management Office in Butwal, one of the injured, identified as Khadak Bahadur Chhetri, 40, from Bareng Dada-3, Baglung, is currently in critical condition.  

The injured passengers have been transported to Palpa for further medical treatment. According to eyewitnesses, the jeep, which was carrying a group of passengers, suddenly lost control and plunged a few meters off the road.  

The Highway Safety and Traffic Management Office is conducting further investigations to determine the exact cause of the accident.
