Three killed in jeep accident in Tinau, Butwal

Police reported that the accident occurred last night when the jeep, with the registration number Lu 2 Cha 2480, was carrying a patient to Butwal for treatment. Three people onboard the jeep lost their lives in the crash.

BUTWAL, Dec 14: Three people have died in a Bolero jeep accident near the Tinau Bridge in Butwal, located on the East-West Highway. 


Police reported that the accident occurred last night when the jeep, with the registration number Lu 2 Cha 2480, was carrying a patient to Butwal for treatment. Three people onboard the jeep lost their lives in the crash.

The accident resulted in the deaths of 71-year-old Tilakram Khanal from Naya Gaon, Butwal Metropolitan City-12, his 67-year-old wife Gauri, and 32-year-old jeep driver Hari Neupane, according to the Butwal Area Police Office.


According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Bijay Raj Pandit from the Butwal Area Police Office, the accident occurred when Gauri suddenly had difficulty breathing, and while being taken from New Gaon to the Lumbini Provincial Hospital in Butwal for treatment, the jeep crashed into the bridge divider.


He mentioned that the jeep accident occurred after crossing the bridge at a bend. The jeep is reported to belong to Arghakhanchi Catering, located in Butwal-13.
