KATHMANDU, Nov 15: One person died after drowning in a pond at Dudhpati in Bhaktapur.
Basanta Pathak, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) and Information Officer at the District Police Office, Bhaktapur, said that the deceased is identified as Suman Rajbhandari, 53, who resided in Ward No. 4 of Bhaktapur Municipality, Nasamana.

Upon receiving information on Tuesday evening about a drowning in the pond, the on-duty police promptly rescued Rajbhandari and rushed him to Bhaktapur Hospital.
The police said that he died during treatment at the hospital. Pathak said that further investigation is being done regarding the incident.
