A joint team of police from Palpa and Gulmi had arrested the trio on the charge of robbing and killing the four elderly people.
Kumari Gaha, 70, and Bhunikala Gaha, 65, both from Chirtungdhara VDC-8 in Palpa district, were killed in a jungle on May 3. Three days later, Jhabilal Bishwakarma, 77, of Hastichaur VDC-6 in Gulmi district, and his 74-year-old wife Seti BK were also found dead.
In both incidents, the killers had looted jewelries from the elderly.
According to DSP Rajkumar Baidawar at District Police Office of Gulmi, Tikaram was arrested from Nayagaun VDC of Gulmi on Thursday. Tikaram had informed police that Tulasi and Rohit were also involved in the murders. Tulasi and Rohit were arrested by police in Palpa on Friday.
"Tulasi was involved in both incidents," said Baidwar. "Tulasi had abetted Tikaram to kill the Bishwakarma couple while Rohit had assisted him to kill the two Gaha women."
According to police officials, the three, after perpetrating two murders, were planning to loot and murder more elderly people. "They have admitted to their crimes," he said. "We have also recovered looted jewelries from them."
