Dahal-Nepal faction visiting Election Commission to seek official recognition as NCP

The faction is scheduled to present copies of citizenship certificates of all CCMs to EC for official recognition.

KATHMANDU, Feb 19: The Central committee members (CCMs) of the Dahal-Nepal faction of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) are scheduled to visit the Election Commission along with their citizenships and identity cards this afternoon to seek recognition of their faction as legitimate NCP.

Both Oli and Dahal-Nepal led factions of NCP are staking claims as being the legitimate party and seeking official recognition from the poll body.

The CCMs of the Dahal-Nepal faction are scheduled to gather at Paris Danda before visiting the election commission. All the CCMs are asked to reach the party office along with the original copy of citizenship certificates and other identity cards.
