KATHMANDU, Nov 25:  Netra Bikram Chand-led Communist Party Nepal  staged a show of strength in the capital on Saturday, amid close surveillance by the security agencies.

BIRATNAGAR, May 8: A police investigation into the shooting of religious leader Acharya Sriniwas  has shown that the controversial godman had used hired guns to shoot him in the  hands. Police  concluded that Acharya,  who has been campaigning to reinstate a Hindu state, plotted the incident to ‘prove there is religious violence in Nepal’.

KATHMANDU, July 24: Nepali play ‘Malini’ has been staged at ‘Indo Nepal International Theater Festival’ in Haryana, India, making it the first Nepali play to be performed at the festival. The drama is the Nepali adaptation of Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore’s play ‘Malini.’
