KATHMANDU, Sept 18: The Securities Board of Nepal (Sebon), after going through a dilly-dally for a long time period, has decided to issue licenses to a new stock exchange, commodities exchanges and brokerage firms.

KATHMANDU, August 27: The Insurance Board (IB) has opened licenses for micro insurance companies, contradicting its own policy to reduce the number of insurers operating in the country.

KATHMANDU, Jan 31: A total of 17 companies have applied at the Insurance Board to receive operating licenses of insurers.

KATHMANDU, June 10: The Securities Board of Nepal (Sebon) is considering issuing additional 35 licenses to brokerage companies, citing an excessive rise in transactions in the secondary market in recent days.
