NEW DELHI, April 1: U.S. climate envoy John Kerry will hold talks with Indian leaders during an Asian tour starting on Thursday in an effort to narrow differences on climate change goals to slow global warming.

WASHINGTON, Jan 28: In the most ambitious U.S. effort to stave off the worst of climate change, President Joe Biden signed executive orders Wednesday to transform the nation’s heavily fossil-fuel powered economy into a clean-burning one, pausing oil and gas leasing on federal land and targeting subsidies for those industries.

A documentary on teenage climate activist Greta Thunberg, making its premiere Friday at the Venice Film Festival, is seeking to remind a world consumed with the coronavirus crisis that the climate crisis is just as urgent and isn’t going away.

Being environmentally aware and trying to live a zero-waste, low carbon and no plastic life are what many of us strive for (at least those of us who are aware of the ongoing climate crisis and want to play an active part in preventing/reversing the damage). Though the idea of eco-friendly living seems easy on paper, it’s especially difficult to put it into practice as our lives are so heavily dependent on mass production and non-renewable energy sources.
