UDAYPUR, March 17: Even after 10 months of the government’s assurance, security personnel of Udaypur Cement Industries Ltd based at Jaljale, Udayapur, have not received their minimum wage.

DAMAK, Oct 9: Tea laborers have been protesting for the last 12 days in Jhapa demanding implementation of minimum wage fixed by the government. Picking tea leaves has been halted. The government is yet to address concerns of those tea laborers to address their problems though a government panel has reached to the industries and has also taken stock of the matter and also discussed on the matters of tea laborers.

KATHMANDU, Oct 7: The government has decided to increase the minimum wage of working journalists by 25 percent. The meeting of the Council of Ministers today took the decision that all journalists and employees working at media houses would have their wage increased from coming October 18.

ILAM, Sept 6: Tea workers of eastern Nepal have launched a protest against tea industries following the latter's reluctance to pay them minimum wage fixed by the government.Though the government has revised the minimum wage twice, industries are still paying farmers as per the earlier wage structure.
