KATHMANDU, Nov 15: Filmmakers from across South Asia who have arrived in Kathmandu to take part in the Film South Asia (FSA) 2019 have said that the festival has not just created a platform to showcase their views in creative ways but also helped them to understand the ongoing life stories of people from different parts of the world.
Recently, two supposedly super-hit Nepali movies uploaded in Youtube caught my attention: Anmol KC starrer “Kri” and Ramesh Upreti starrer “Aishwarya.” These movies highlight major issues plaguing the Nepali movie industry today.
KATHMANDU, Feb 18: Former Minister for Information and Communication, Mohan Bahadur Basnet along with President of Nepal Film Development Board Nikita Paudel laid the foundaton stone for Film City to be soon built in Dolakha. The Film City, said to be built with international standards, is being constructed at 3,300 meters above the sea level in Dangdungey Danda of Dolkha.
KATHMANDU, Dec 14: The public screening of a collection of short films titled ‘Remembrances- Reflections of Healing’ was held at the Outdoor Adventure Center Nepal in Thamel on Monday. The screening was organized by VOW Media along with their partner organization Shakti Samuha.
KATHMANDU, Nov 21: The fifth Ekadeshma International Short Film Festival 2017 concluded on Sunday with a closing ceremony where few of the outstanding films among the 99 shorts films screened at QFX Kumari Cinemas, Kamalpokhari, were awarded.
The fifth Ekadeshma International Short Film Festival is all set to kick-off on Thursday with the screening of 99 films from all over the world in five different sections that deal with various social, political and cultural issues.
